20. A Streetcar Named Desire
Marlon Brando as a wife beater and Vivien Lee as a lost soul of a woman. What's not to like?
19. Casablanca
A bit overrated, but Bogart is awesome.
18. The Maltese Falcon
Bogart is even better.
17. Scarface (1932)
So much violence for 1932. Paul Muni is gangsta.
16. Ben Hur
Everything's about Jesus Homer.
15. Midnight Cowboy
Changed the course of film forever.
14. Vertigo
Stairs are scary.
13. King Kong (1933)
This movie should really get more credit.
12. Citizen Kane
The first round draft pick, that's given a huge signing bonus and has a pretty good career.
11. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
I've only seen this a couple times, but it's gotten better with each viewing. The sky is the limit for this one.
10. Spartacus
So great ... until Sparty falls in love.
9. Bonnie and Clyde
I didn't think this movie was this good, but I was wrong. It's kind of the 1st action movie. Faye Dunaway is on my list circa 1969.
8. It's a Wonderful Life
Another movie that I didn't expect to blow me away, and did.
7. The Wizard of Oz
A simple classic. Too much here is going on to rank it any lower, besides the fact that it is a musical. The only good musical ever.
6. Psycho
So much more to this movie than a shower scene. Incredible score too!
5. Lawrence of Arabia
British Beatle Mania!
4. 2001: A Space Odyssey
Kubrick is indeed a diety.
3. The Graduate
This movie could come out today and seem perfectly in it's place.
2. Gone With the Wind
It's just too grand. Best chick flick of all-time.
1. On the Waterfront
Probably the best role Brando ever played.
